PARLIAMENT'S DEPUTIES STUDY CONSTITUENCY AFFAIRS
Senators and MPs of Oliy Majlis travel to regional constituencies to learn more about the state of affairs there, a move to strengthen parliamentary control and promote public feedback, especially in the Year of Dialogue with People and Human Interests.
This year, MPs have made four trips to the regions. This time, they paid a visit to Karakalpakstan’s Beruniy district, Andijan’s Kurgantepa district, Bukhara’s Vabkent district, Djizzak’s Pakhtakor district, Navoi’s Karman district, Namangan’s Yangikurgan district, Samarkand’s Kattakurgan district, Sirdarya’s Khavast district, Surkhandarya’s Shurchin district, Tashkent’s Parkent district, Fergana’s Uzbekistan district, Khorezm’s Khiva district, and Kashkadarya’s Karshi district.
MPs will focus on medical institutions like health facilities and family clinics.
The Parliament has a Commission for Medical Services Development.
Its purpose is to study and analyse the current state of affairs in the sector, while finding pressing problems and finding ways to resolve them.
There are plans for preventive measures and greater involvement by public bodies.
MPs also called on locals to ask about their living conditions and pressing issues.
