On June 1, 2019, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Angren city.
In accordance with tasks defined by the Head of the state during the previous trip, a large-scale construction and landscaping activity was carried out here. Uzbekistan Railways built a city railway station.
Angren is a strategically important transport hub. Its importance has increased even more after the construction of the railway station, which brings together Tashkent and Fergana valley. The new station will create great amenities for city residents and tourists.
The station is able to serve 100 passengers simultaneously. Modern conditions have been created in the waiting room, mother and child room, first-aid post, trade and catering centers.
The President got acquainted with amenities created in the station for passengers and workers.
Presentation of promising projects was held in tourism, energy, chemical and metallurgical industries, which are planned to be implemented in Tashkent region.
The President paid particular attention to major projects on organization of resorts at the international level in Charvak free tourism zone, as well as creation of a ski resort with participation of a consortium of French companies in Beldersay, Chimgan and Nanay.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Internal Affairs Department No. 2 of Angren city.
The department received a new building. Operational duty and office rooms are equipped with modern technologies. There are departments of prevention, investigation, criminal investigation, passport and psychological services.
According to the resolution of the President of May 29 this year, a qualitatively new system of managing the forces and means of internal affairs bodies in crime prevention and fight against crime is being introduced in Tashkent region. It is planned that within the framework of the experiment, the structure of regional, district and city departments will be optimized, 86 percent of employees will be transferred to a lower level.
“When crime is curbed, our people live calmly and are satisfied with the state. To do this, all law enforcement agencies must work even more closely, to be closer to people. Only in this way, offenses will be prevented and there will be no place for crimes”, – the President said.
Instructions were given to enhance interaction of internal affairs bodies, the prosecutor’s office, the National Guard, the court and other structures, increase the speed of response and ensure maximum mobility of departments.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with conditions created in the new building of the Center for Public Services of Akhangaran city.
More than 37 thousand people live in Akhangaran. The Center provides individuals and legal entities with over 100 types of services.
Demand for center’s services is increasing. If the center provided more than 7 thousand services in 2018, in the first quarter of the current year alone this figure exceeded 6 thousand.
A playground, medical office, library, dining room, special rooms for investors and a free Wi-Fi zone are organized in the new building for the convenience of visitors.
According to the Decree of the President “On measures for fundamentally improving the system of support and protection of entrepreneurial activity” of May 14, 2019, the reception office of the Prime Minister has been opened at the center.
The President noted the need for rapid response to problems most often raised in the appeals of citizens, a gradual reduction in the number of documents required to receive services. Recommendations were given to improve the work with documents in makhalla gatherings using opportunities of public service centers.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Kaldirgoch state preschool education institution in Akhangaran city.
The kindergarten in Nugoykurgon makhalla, put into operation on the eve of June 1 – International Children’s Day, eased concerns of local residents. Indeed, now there is an opportunity to educate 160 children in modern conditions in 4 main and 3 short-term groups. A summer playground, swimming pool, football field, sports and music halls are organized here, rooms are equipped with educational games and visual aids. In short, there is every opportunity to identify and realize the talent of children. The kindergarten employs 32 professionals.
The Head of the state got acquainted with conditions created in the kindergarten, spoke with responsible persons of the sphere and educators. He noted that training personnel, who ensure the future of the country, begins precisely from preschool education. Necessary basis is laid for this by building new and expanding the coverage of existing kindergartens.
Construction of Building Innovation was completed in Akhangaran district shortly before the trip of the Head of the state to Tashkent region. Modern equipment from Germany, Austria, Greece, Spain and Japan has been installed here.
The company is able to produce more than 112 million pieces of decorative bricks per year and export products for 3 million USD. The cost of production promises to be low due to the use of energy-saving technologies and local raw materials. 250 people will be employed. The company intends to become a regional leader in terms of production and quality of this kinds of production. Ceramic blocks and panels are planned to be produced.
The President became familiar with capacities of enterprise and samples of products. He gave recommendations to managers of the enterprise on expanding the range of building materials.
Presentation of projects on development of building materials and textile industries, leather processing in Tashkent region was also held.
The project which will be implemented at Akhangaran Cement Plant in cooperation with Russia’s Euro Cement Group holding company is also among them. The project worth 160 million USD will allow to establish export of production for 17 million USD per year and create 200 jobs.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Sarkor farm of Buka district, where he got acquainted with the state of development of cotton and wheat.
Projects planned for implementation in Tashkent region in 2019-2020, as a result of which more than 14.5 thousand jobs will be created, were presented.
Here he talked with farmers and responsible persons of agriculture. It was noted that raising the level of cotton fiber processing with domestic capacity from 30 to 70 percent became a revolutionary achievement in the agricultural sector.
“The land is weary, we suffered losses in yield due to the fact that scientific approach and innovations were not applied in agriculture. Therefore, we have transformed the structure of agriculture, increased purchase prices for products. The ambition and result come after the interest”, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with activities carried out in Buka district within the framework of the Five Initiatives.
Buka district is chosen as a model for implementation of five important initiatives forwarded by the Head of the state to organize a new system of social and spiritual-enlightenment activity. Large-scale construction and landscaping activity was carried out in Buston, Chavlisoy, Yangikurgon and Rovot makhallas.
The Head of the state visited Youth Park in Buston makhalla. The 2-hectares park offers opportunities for playing volleyball, basketball, table tennis, checkers and chess, amusement rides are set up, there is a dance floor and an Internet cafe. To popularize the reading of books, a public library was opened in the makhalla, capable of serving about 4 thousand readers. The stadium for 450 spectators was reconstructed and transferred to the balance of junior sports school. More than hundred students will play football here.
Before local residents had to get to the district center to undergo a medical diagnosis. Rural family polyclinic No. 7 has been capitally repaired and equipped with necessary equipment. The medical institution, designed to receive 100 patients per day, serves 14 thousand residents of five makhallas. A hospital, a social pharmacy, e-polyclinic system is organized here.
The Head of the state got acquainted with conditions at the polyclinic, visited the sewing shop Buston Baraka Chevarlari LLC, which is opened nearby, and talked with seamstresses.
“I want to see your eyes shining with happiness. If you are happy, then your families are happy too, your children’s worldview expand and spirituality rise”, – the President said.
A beauty salon has been opened in the makhalla. The activity of a kindergarten closed for many years, which, after modern renovation will receive 150 children, has been resumed. The building of the local cinema, built in 1978, was also inactive. Today, 150-seats modern center of culture with cinema, clubs for dancing, playing doira, rubab, piano, visual arts and others are erected in its place.
“Not enough attention was paid to Buka district for many years. We were indebted to its residents. These changes are an example of what leaders can do when there is a desire”, – Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Ex-Minister of Public Education replaces Khotamjon Ketmonov as PDPU Chairman
Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) Khotamjon Ketmonov left his post, a source informs Kun.uz.
According to the report, the rector of Namangan State University Ulugbek Inoyatov became the new party leader.
Khotamjon Ketmonov has led the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan since 2013. In March 2015 and in 2016 he was a presidential candidate. He is also the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
It should be recalled that in June 2018, Ulugbek Inoyatov was dismissed from his post as Minister of Public Education and was appointed rector of Namangan State University.
Earlier it was reported that the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milly Tiklanish” Sarvar Otamurodov had left his post. He became the head of the joint-stock company Uzagrosugurta.
EU supports Uzbekistan in the Aral Sea region’s sustainable development
President of the European Council Donald Tusk, within the framework of his working visit to Uzbekistan, took part in the presentation of the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea Region dedicated to elimination of problems related to the drying up of the Aral Sea.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, addressing the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, drew the attention of its participants to many pressing issues of global importance, in particular, emphasized the particular danger of the Aral crisis for the population of not only Uzbekistan, but the entire region. On November 27, 2018, a high-level event was held at the UN headquarters in New York on launching the United Nations Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea Region in Uzbekistan.
Presentation was held on the goals and objectives of this fund, its program and operational activities, as well as measures taken to establish and develop partnership in this context.
On April 1 this year, the Standard Agreement was signed between the Government of Norway and the office of this fund, according to which Norway became the first donor to contribute to the fund.
At the moment, Japan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and a number of other donor countries are also showing interest in participating in the fund.
