At the initiative of the Head of the state, Beruni Square has been set up in the territory of the town, next to Beruni metro station. The monument to Abu Rayhan Beruni was moved here from the Technical University. Memorial plaques are installed with information about the outstanding legacy of the great scientist. All this has formed a unique complex, which came to be another symbol of the University town as a center of research.

“We relocate the ministry in this town for a reason. Thousands of talented young people, research fellows, and scientists work and study in universities here. According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Washington, “Caucus in Uzbekistan” is one of the youngest structures on Capitol Hill, created at the end of last year following the meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a group of US lawmakers in May 2018. In particular, it is expected that during the November visit our country will be visited by a group of congressmen participating in the activities of key specialized committees of the House of Representatives.
