People should feel the results of reforms and transformations in their lives

On June 29, 2018, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Olmazor district in Tashkent where he got acquainted with construction and landscaping activities in Ibrohim ota makhalla.

19 two-storey and 4 four-storey houses, built in 1960-s, are located in this makhalla. To date, they need to be repaired, engineering-communication networks are also outdated.

In order to update appearance of such makhallas, “Obod makhalla” (“Prosperous neighborhood”) program was recently adopted, which also includes Ibrohim ota makhalla. All multi-storey houses, streets and paths are being repaired, the territory of the makhalla is being landscaped. 7 two-storey affordable houses and modern pre-school education institution is being built. It is also envisaged to erect makhalla guzar according to standard project, reception point of utility payments, children’s and sports grounds.

The President of the country noted that it is necessary to visit each house, study aspirations and needs of each family, help to solve problems, attract entrepreneurs to makhalla and create jobs.

People, living in these makhallas also have their dreams and hopes, plans for the future. People should feel changes in our country, results of the adopted programs, first of all, where they live, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of the state spoke with activists and residents of the makhalla. Providing the population with work, improvement of cities and villages, the essence of ongoing reforms on development of preschool and school education, education of youth as harmoniously developed individuals were noted. It was emphasized that “Obod qishloq”, “Obod makhalla” and “Youth – our future” programs are designed to improve the living conditions of the population, to support the youth.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Olmazor district last year gave instructions on implementation of new projects based on Tashkent toy factory.

The Head of the state visited the factory again and became familiar with the implemented activities.

“NBU Investment” LLC together with the initiating investors are implementing five projects. “Toys City”, “O’yinchoqlar Fabrikasi”, “Funny Kids World”, “National Products”, “United Nation company” enterprises and others will produce clothes, various items for children and toys. In total, more than 920 jobs will be created.

The “Toys City” enterprise has already been put into operation. It produces about 70 types of products.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the process of producing toys at this enterprise.

The President visited the Cultural Centre for Deaf People of the Society of the Deaf of Uzbekistan.

Construction and repair work was carried out here. The concert hall for 450 people, study rooms, gyms are equipped at the modern level.

The Head of the state talked with members of the society, asked about their problems and shortcomings in the sphere.

Attention was paid to training teachers for deaf-mute children and sign language interpreters.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to prepare a resolution providing for the improvement of conditions for education, training, labor, recreation and treatment of citizens of this category.

The Head of the state presented the world chess champion Sirojiddin Zayniddinov, the winner of the Asian Taekwondo Championship Davron Khidirov, the young director Oleg Oshipenko apartments in Tashkent, as well as a bus to the Cultural Centre.

As you know, our main principle is that the state serves people. You are also worthy members of our society. We will create all conditions in this area. Every person in Uzbekistan is dear to me, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In accordance with the resolution of the Head of the state "On organizational measures of stimulating the provision of employment of socially vulnerable segments of the population" of June 11, 2018, privileges were introduced to support business entities of a particular category, involving persons with disabilities to work.

To this end, a sewing enterprise was organized in the territory of the Society of the Deaf of Uzbekistan, employing more than 100 women.

The President got acquainted with activities of this enterprise, talked with seamstresses. The Head of the state noted that the work in the field will continue consistently, special attention will be paid to creation of jobs for persons with disabilities.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Department of Internal Affairs No.2 in Olmazor district.

This department includes such makhallas as “Shifokorlar”, “Jiydali”, “Khislat”, “Beruniy”, “Mirza Golib”, “Chigatoy Oktepa”. There are many multi-storey houses, higher education institutions, hospitals and other social facilities here.

Recently, employees of the department began to work in a new building. All conditions are created for qualitative execution of their official tasks, ensuring public security.

As reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President of the country gave instructions on wide introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the sphere, round-the-clock monitoring of the subordinated territory, ensuring tranquility of the population, preventing crime.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with projects of socio-economic development of Olmazor district in the Palace of Culture of the campus.

A presentation of the project on construction of the new center of the district – “Olmazor city” was held. On the area, which will occupy more than 24 hectares between Yangi Olmazor Street and the Minor ring road, it is planned to build administrative buildings, multi-apartment housing, a modern business center, a hotel and avenues, educational and medical institutions.

The Head of the state approved the project.

Instructions were given for working with youth, developing industry, creating new jobs. The need for conducting inventory of unused buildings in the district, attracting foreign investment and technology, creating new jobs was indicated.

On June 29, a meeting with participation of khokims of Tashkent and districts of the capital and responsible leaders was held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that as a result of measures taken on ensuring the independence of local budgets, more than 5 billion sums remains at the disposal of Olmazor district, which will serve to solve problems of the district, and implement new projects.

The fact that the district is lagging behind development in many respects was criticized. In particular, it was stated that the volume of production of industrial products in the district is 2 times, the volume of rendering services is 3 times lower than the average in Tashkent.

The need for effectively using the available opportunities, restoring non-functioning plants, creating sources of income for people through the development of entrepreneurship and services was noted. Instructions were given on creating 15 thousand jobs in the district.

President congratulates the youth of Uzbekistan

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated the people of Uzbekistan with the Youth Day, which is celebrated in the country for the first time.

“Recently, a completely new system of working with youth has been created in the country, their public activity, involvement in the fate of the Motherland and people has increased, young boys and girls of Uzbekistan are taking a worthy part in formation of modern, democratic state”, – noted the President.

A confirmation is that over the past year, more than 20 laws, decrees and resolutions directly relating to the life of youth have been adopted.

In particular, at the initiative of youth, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan was founded a year ago, which became a great event not only in the life of the younger generation, but in the country as a whole.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev drew attention to the fact that only within a year on the basis of recommendations of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, banks allocated 216 billion sums of concessional loans to almost 4 thousand 300 young boys and girls, more than 184 thousand 300 young people were employed.

– It is noteworthy that young, promising personnel who have passed the school of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, possessing modern knowledge and skills, leadership qualities are appointed to executive positions at ministries and agencies, large companies and banks, business associations, – said the Head of the state.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that in order to stimulate active and energetic youth, serving as an example for all with their work, initiative and moral qualities, the state award “Mard o’g’lon” (“Valiant Son of the Motherland”) and “Kelajak bunyodkori” (“Creator of the Future”) medal were established.

Over the past year, 266 boys and girls became winners of republican, 80 – winners of international subject Olympiads, 12 of our athletes achieved the highest results at world championships, 93 – at Asian championships, over 150 – at international competitions.

The President noted that it is necessary to strengthen the activity of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan on ensuring employment of young boys and girls, working with unorganized youth, as well as preventing offenses in this environment.

Unfortunately, this organization still did not manage to completely eliminate in its practice the cases of formalism, campaigning, manifestation of false pathos.

“From this point of view, we all want the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, created just a year ago, to “grow up” faster, take a worthy and lasting place in socio-political system of the country, the lives of youth, find concrete solutions to their problems, conduct open dialogue on a regular basis. We are ready to provide all necessary assistance for this”, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of the state noted that in order to accelerate development of entrepreneurship among youth, youth entrepreneurship zones in the country, the Youth Innovation Technopark in Tashkent will be created in the near future, as well as an education of young scientists in scientific laboratories and centers under the Academy of Sciences will be organized.

Recently, the State Program “Youth is our future” has been adopted, according to which a special fund for introduction of modern technologies into the economy of the country and wide involvement of youth in this process was established at the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.

The President expressed support for the creation of the international non-governmental non-profit organization “Buyuk kelajak” (“The Great Future”) on the initiative of compatriots living abroad and having achieved significant results in various spheres.

President of Uzbekistan approves concept of improving the tax policy

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved with his a the concept of improving the tax policy of Uzbekistan on 29 June.

The main direction of the Concept is to reduce the level of tax burden on the economy, as well as to eliminate imbalances in the level of tax burden between business entities that pay taxes on a simplified and generally established taxation system.

The concept envisages optimization of the number of taxes through their unification, as well as the consolidation of taxes, which have a similar tax base, reducing and simplifying tax reporting, and minimizing operating expenses.

Simplification of tax legislation, elimination of contradictions and conflicts in normative legal acts in the field of tax relations, strengthening of protection of rights and legitimate interests of bona fide taxpayers are the main directions of the concept of improving the tax policy of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan also plans to maintain a favorable regime for foreign investors and investments, their full support and reliable legal protection.

Starting from 1 January 2019, within the framework of the Tax Policy Improvement Concept, Uzbekistan plans to reduce the tax burden on the payroll by:

introduction of a single tax rate on personal income at the size of 12 percent for all citizens, of which 0.1 percent is directed to individual accumulative pension accounts. At the same time, the current procedure for the exemption of income from certain categories of citizens from taxation in the amount of 4 minimum wages will be kept;

abolition of insurance premiums of citizens to the extra-budgetary Pension Fund, withheld from the income of citizens in the form of wages;

establishing, in order to ensure the sustainability of the pension system, a single social payment of 25 percent for budget organizations and state enterprises, legal entities with a state share in the statutory fund (capital) of 50 percent or more, legal entities in the authorized fund (capital) of which 50 percent or more belongs to a legal entity with a state stake of 50 percent or more, and their structural units, as well as a reduction in the rate of this payment from 15 to 12 percent for the remaining legal entities;

Uzbekistan will also take measures to improve the taxation of payers of generally established and simplified taxes with the optimization of taxes on turnover (proceeds), as well as the criteria for transition to a simplified taxation regime by:

abolition of mandatory contributions to state trust funds, levied on the turnover (proceeds) of legal entities;

reduction in the corporate profit tax rate from 14 to 12 percent, for commercial banks from 22 to 20 percent, as well as increases for legal entities providing mobile communication services (cellular companies) from 14 to 20 percent, with the cancellation of the procedure for calculating tax on superprofits, depending on the level of profitability;

reduction in the rate of income tax levied at the source of payment, on income in the form of dividends and interest from 10 to 5 percent;

transfer of enterprises that have annual turnover (revenue) for the previous year more than 1 billion soums (currency rates of CB RU from 02.07.2018, 1$= 7846.27 soums) or reached the established threshold during the year, to pay general taxes. At the same time, the established threshold of annual turnover (revenue) of 1 billion soums is subject to revision at least once every 3 years;

introduction for all business entities, including legal entities that have a turnover (revenue) up to 1 billion soums, property tax of legal entities, land tax and a tax for the use of water resources;

improvement of the procedure for calculating and paying the excess profit tax, including the introduction of payment of royalties;

Measures will be implemented to reduce the negative impact of improving the tax policy on payers of a simplified taxation regime, by:

reduction of the property tax rate of legal entities from 5 to 2 percent while maintaining the procedure for calculating the tax at higher rates for legal entities that inefficiently use buildings and structures, including those previously privatized;

establishment for taxpayers with annual turnover (revenue) up to 1 billion soums, the procedure for calculating and paying turnover tax (revenue) with a base rate of 4 percent and with the possibility of paying value-added tax on a voluntary basis;

preservation of the taxation procedure for single land tax payers;

Also, the procedure for calculating and paying value-added tax and excise tax is improved by:

keeping the current rate of value added tax at a rate of 20 percent with the introduction of a full-fledged tax offset system, specifying the tax base and reducing the number of benefits, as well as the subsequent reduction in the rate of this tax in 2019;

granting the right to credit the amount of value-added tax on acquired fixed assets, objects of construction in progress and intangible assets that are currently included in their value;

association of excises and duties from manufacturers of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products established per unit of output, with the transfer of funds to the national budget for the financing of relevant activities.

The head of Uzbekistan instructed, by 1 November 2018, to prepare proposals on abolition of ineffective tax and customs privileges and preferences, and the introduction of the procedure for providing permanent tax and customs privileges, respectively, by the Tax and Customs Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Prior to 1 December 2018, it was entrusted to ensure the development of the draft of the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in a new version, with the involvement of experts from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other organizations, based on the main directions of the Concept of improving the tax policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ensuring its broad public discussion.

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan was instructed to take measures to organize interaction with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to receive technical assistance in the preparation of the draft Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in a new edition and reforming the tax system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan was entrusted in a two-month period to approve a set of measures aimed at preventing a sharp increase in the administrative expenses of taxpayers for the fulfillment of tax obligations, providing for:

The government will also take measures to improve the skills of employees of the state tax service and taxpayers, including the calculation and payment of value added tax and corporate income tax.

The President instructed to simplify tax reporting and ensure its integration with software products for the introduction of automated accounting;

The government of Uzbekistan should review and reduce the types of activities permitted for the implementation of individual entrepreneurs.

Central Asia - the priority of foreign policy of Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan: security cooperation

On June 29, Tashkent hosted bilateral consultations of the Security Councils of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was organized to ensure implementation of the Protocol, signed following the results of consultations of the Security Councils of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan held on August 25, 2017 in Astana. It was attended by a delegation led by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Secretary of the Security Council Nurlan Yermekbayev.

At the event, issues of further development of cooperation in ensuring regional security and achieving sustainable development were discussed. As noted, the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan provides an opportunity for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation. Intensification of ties between the territories of the two countries serves to bring people closer together.

Consultative meetings of Security Councils contribute to strengthening peace cooperation. In the past short period, such a mechanism of consultations has proved its relevance and has shown its importance as an effective platform for finding solutions to important issues in mutual relations.

At the consultations, organized for the third time, the situation in Afghanistan, the current situation and conditions in the Central Asian region were analyzed. Views were exchanged on conducting joint combat preparation of military equipment and troops, joint military exercises, and intensification of interdepartmental relations in the fight against illegal migration. Issues of expanding joint activities in improving methods, means, and international legal framework against illegal interference in the customs service and civil aviation were discussed.

During the conversation, the need for implementation of the roadmap for security cooperation in 2017-2018 was noted. The first results of implementation of the roadmap of roads and areas that was approved on September 16, 2017 in Tashkent by the governments of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, proposed for construction on Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan state borders, repair and modernization of checkpoints were considered.

At the event, suggestions and recommendations were made on improving bilateral and regional cooperation mechanisms, developing joint initiatives in this field.

A protocol was signed on the results of bilateral consultations of the Security Councils of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Secretary of the Security Council N.Yermekbayev met with the head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Matlubov.

Views were exchanged on the issues of further strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism, extremism and crimes related to illicit traffic in narcotic drugs.

Guests were provided with information on activities carried out in the system on combating crime and in the system of personnel training in the field of protection of rights.

The delegation of Kazakhstan arrived in Samarkand on the same day and visited the mausoleum of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. The guests were told about the large-scale work on construction and landscaping, held in the Hazrati Khizr complex, where the great head of state found eternal rest.

Meetings of Working Groups in Turkmenistan

Regular negotiations of Working Groups of the Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on the Issues of Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were held in Turkmenistan from June 25 to July 1, 2018.

During the negotiations, the results of joint field surveys on selected areas of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan border were considered.

Following the meetings of the working groups the sides signed Protocol.

Since March 2017, in accordance with the agreements reached within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan, after a long interruption, the negotiations of the working groups of the two countries on the issues of demarcation of the State Border were resumed and to date 9 meetings have been held to clarify the line of passing the border.

The negotiations are held in the spirit of friendship and good-neighborliness, consideration of mutual interests. The meeting is the practical implementation of the agreements between the presidents of the two countries during the summits in Ashgabat and Tashkent.

The first forum was meaningful

Participants of the Central Asian Youth Forum held in Samarkand city came to this conclusion.

Within the framework of the forum, organized on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, projects and ideas that would unite the youth of the region and issues of their implementation were discussed. Round tables were held on development of science and education, cultural cooperation, tourism, prevention of extremism and radicalism in the Central Asian region.

On June 29, at the Press Club meeting, dedicated to the results of the forum, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan K.Beknazarov, Chairman of the youth wing "Zhas Otan" of “Nur Otan” party of Kazakhstan D.Sundetbaev, Director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan K.Amankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Youth of Tajikistan R.Nazarzoda noted that for uniting the Central Asian youth there is a need for such a platform, and this forum was aimed specifically at achieving this goal. Opinions and comments on the issues discussed at the forum were expressed.

Participants of the forum, noting the high organization of the events, expressed their great gratitude to the organizers and youth of Uzbekistan for their activity and high level of hospitality.

Meeting with the Ambassador of Finland

On June 30, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland with the residence in Helsinki Niklas Lindqvist, who has completed his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres.

In this context, the sides emphasized the practical importance of continuation of regular inter-ministerial consultations, allowing to define and coordinate priority areas of cooperation.

The issue of resumption of activity of the joint Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the third meeting of which was held in 2002, was also raised at the meeting. The sides noted the readiness to contribute in every way the expansion and deepening of relations between the business circles of Uzbekistan and Finland, aimed at creation of joint modern production facilities with involvement of Finland investments and high technologies, expansion of mutual trade.

The sides confirmed their interest in continuation of regular exchanges in cultural-humanitarian, tourism and other spheres.

Following the conversation, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Finland for successful activity for almost five years as a head of diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador Niklas Lindqvist thanked for favorable conditions for fruitful fulfilment of his diplomatic mission.

CCI hosted Uzbekistan – Greece business forum

On June 28, 2018, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Athens and Ellrosa Key Business Solutions organized Uzbekistan – Greece business forum and cooperation exchange with participation of entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The delegation of Greece included companies engaged in construction, production of equipment for food industry, production and processing of olive oil, medicine and pharmaceuticals.

The main purpose of these events was promoting the establishment of cooperation between companies of Uzbekistan and Greece, attracting and developing foreign investments, technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises, as well as establishment of joint ventures on the territory of the country.

Representatives of Greece delegation highlighted positive dynamics of the growth of Uzbekistan’s macroeconomic indicators, measures taken to liberalize and diversify the economy, improve the business environment, increase investment attractiveness and newly created FEZs.

As reported by the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in 2017 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to about 23.8 million USD.

Currently, there are 11 enterprises with participation of Greece capital in Uzbekistan.

At the B2B meeting, the sides discussed the priorities for development of cooperation, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as a number of agreements between the entrepreneurs of the two countries, including the development of olive oil production in the territory of Uzbekistan, the creation of joint ventures in the pharmaceutical and food industries, were reached.

The fifteenth plenary session of the Senate was held in Tashkent

On June 28-29, 2018, the fifteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.

The session was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis N.Yuldoshev.

The senators considered the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On counteraction to extremism”, “On mediation”, “On restriction of smoking hookahs and e-cigarettes in public places”, “On the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in the new edition, “On plant quarantine” in the new edition, “On introducing amendments and addenda to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” aimed at further improving activities of the state governing bodies and administration, criminal and criminal procedure legislation, legislation on administrative liability, as well as development of the country’s economy. The laws have been approved by senators.

The senators also considered a number of laws on ratification of international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The laws have been approved by senators.

The senators heard the report of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as on activities of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017.

The senators heard the information of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of combating and preventing crime, ensuring public security in the first half of 2018, as well as information of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activities of the Ministry in implementing the assigned tasks.

Then the senators discussed the issue of streamlining weddings, family celebrations, a funeral feast and ceremonies for the deceased, and events dedicated to the memory of the deceased. It was noted that it is possible to achieve compact holding of wedding and other family events not through the adoption of a certain normative act, but through extensive propaganda work, a personal example, exemplary events.

Further, the senators considered the issues on appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the French Republic, the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on introducing amendments to the composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Relevant resolutions have been adopted on the considered issues.

Other issues related to the powers of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis were also considered at the plenary session, on which relevant resolutions have been adopted.

During the fifteenth plenary session 23 issues related to the powers of the Senate, including 10 laws aimed at radically improving the efficiency of the ongoing reforms in the country, development of international cooperation were considered.

Agro-tourism is well developed in such countries as Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, France. Here, tourists, living a certain time in the countryside, get acquainted with local traditions, lifestyle, take part in traditional field work. In our country there are also ample opportunities for the development of this form of travel and leisure.

In the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy of Actions along Five Priority Tracks for the Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, in the Year of Support for Active Enterprise, Innovative Ideas and Technologies, tasks are set for adapting exemplary farms to servicing tourists, developing agro-tourism in order to expand the flow and increase the duration of stay of tourists in our country.

The State Committee for Tourism Development is systematically working on the organization of a new type of recreation.

“A list of facilities to receive tourists interested in agro-tourism is being formed”, said Aziz Makhsumov, chief specialist with the State Committee for Tourism Development. “On the official website and on the pages of the committee in social networks, information on agro-tourism facilities is posted, tour operators arrange travel programs. They are also handed over to the newly arriving tourists. Through these programs, guests can visit these sites and get acquainted with new directions of tourism.

Those who have expressed desire to conduct activities in the direction of agro-tourism can become members of the group @Agroturizm in Telegram. The group publishes news on the topic, a list of agro-tourism facilities, statistical information, data about innovative ideas and initiatives.

Today, agro-tourism is considered a promising form of tourism. One of the institutions offering its services in this direction is the sanatorium Mehrigiyo located in Uchkuprik district of the Ferghana region.

In this institution, which brings together experienced doctors, phytotherapeutists and folk medicine workers, customers and visitors are served on the basis of modern techniques and traditions of ancient oriental medicine. The establishment produces tea, medicinal and herbal extracts from more than 30 types of curative plants.

Here, tourists can see with their own eyes the process of making medicinal drinks from healing leaves grown here, in particular from olives, rosemary, guava, from other herbs and shrubs.

In addition, the attention of travelers is attracted by restaurants, plantations, recreation rooms of this institution.
